About Me
I believe in the Trinity and the oneness of all creation. I believe God equals Truth which equals Love. I believe in only one God. I believe there are many narrow paths to God and that each VALID path takes discipline, dedication, devotion, faith, and love to travel. To find God requires a deep, all-encompassing desire to know and love God. I believe there are no shortcuts, no fast-food-drive-thru ways to know God and to cultivate God in oneself. You have to work at it and the path is simple but not easy. It requires self-honesty and self-discipline. It is often a path not followed. "Feel good" "religions" are not the answer. I believe in the Four Noble Truths. I consider myself to be a reasonable, Roman Catholic Christian who wants to know and love God as He/She/It REALLY is not as I WANT Him to be OR THINK He is or as somebody else thinks He is or wants Him to be. I don't believe we control God or should even try to, or to put God into a box so we can accept Him only on our terms and then try and blame God for the terms. I believe in personal responsibility for our experience of God or lack thereof. I believe we are accountable to not just ourselves but to all Creation for how we live and how our beliefs affect how we live. None of us lives in a vaccum - we are interdependent with each other. Religion is about relationship; with each other AND with God and Creation. religion is not the same thing AS God. God is beyond religion. I think this an important aspect to keep in mind when it comes to religion. Religion = culture = religion. Religion and God are NOT the same thing although people term them as such which causes 90-95% of the religious wars we have had through history and even today.
Also just for honesty's sake (because I have had A LOT of this): No book buying requests please and don't "friend" me because you want me to buy your book. Legit friend requests gladly accepted.
