About Me

I am a 45 year old single father of two great children! I have a 15 year old daughter and a 13 year old son.

My wife passed away from Breast Cancer in 2003 after 8 years of non-stop treatment and fighting like He**, which closely followed my father's passing, who was my best friend, on September 11th, 2001!

I have been suffering from severe depression for many years and I am hoping to meet people who understand this illness and might be able to provide insight, support and answers. After more than 20 different medications, I am concerned I will never find one that will treat this tremendously misunderstood illness!

I am so very tired of hearing "With everything that has happened in your life, you deserve to be depressed!"

All is well, I too had severe depression.I sufered from panic attacks it was so bad.I'm over it now and I thought something so severe would never end!It did!Well just stopping by to say hey and i'm not hard to find!

Hi, I am so sorry for your loss. I can't imagine how it feels to lose a spouse. I have suffered depression in the past. I took medications for a while which gave some relief but dulled my creativity (I'm an artist, this was unacceptable!). There seems to be a connection between depression and thyroid issues so you might want to check that out. I got a message that said "Action equals Results" and that made me realize that I had to actively climb out of my depression. I personally got into martial arts and that lifted me out of it. What it actually did for me was put me in the moment. It was such an intense experience- physically, mentally and spiritually that I couldn't think about anything else while I was training. It's a moving meditation. I know that martial arts doesn't work for everyone, I suggest excercise, getting out in nature as much as possible, voicing your feelings and letting go. Be as Kind and Gentle to yourself as you would be to your children. Be Here Now. It's the only thing that's real. Hang in there my friend for without a doubt- this will change.

Hi there. I know it seems hopeless at times but I put my trust in the Lord who heals if we only turn to him in our time of sorrow. We have to trust that there is a special purpose for our life. I also lost my spouse at an early age, it is difficult especially when children are involved. I tried to be strong for their sake. God is faithful if you will trust Him. I saw a rainbow in the sky one week before my third daughter was born, the Lord also blessed me with a son but he is outnumbered:) I will pray that He brings you comfort, hope and healing.
