The Name of Tao - July 15, 2008 - 12:16 PM

The Tao that can be followed is not the eternal Tao. The name that can be named is not the eternal name. The nameless is the origin of heaven and earth while naming is the origin of the myriad things. Therefore, always desire less, you see the mystery ever siring, you see the manifestations. These two are the same--When they appear they Renamed differently. Their sameness is the mystery, Mystery within mystery; the door to all marvels. The form of great virtue is something that only the Tao can follow. The Tao as a "thing" is only vague and obscure. How obscure! How vague! In it there is form. How vague! How obscure! In it are things. How deep! How dark! In it there is an essence. The essence is so real--therein is belief. From the present to antiquity, its name has never left it, so we can examine all origins. How do I know the form of all origins? By this. The Tao is always "not-doing” Yet there is nothing it doesn't do. If the ruler is able to embody it everything will naturally change. Being changed, they desire to act. So I must restrain them, using the nameless "uncared block (original mind)." Using the nameless uncared block they become desireless. Desireless, they are tranquil and All-under-Heaven is naturally settled. There is something that is perfect in its disorder which is born before Heaven and Earth. So silent and desolate! It establishes itself without renewal. Functions universally without lapse. We can regard it as the Mother of Everything. I don't know its name. Hence, when forced to name it, I call it "Tao.” When forced to categorize it, I call it "great.” Tao is great, Heaven is great, the Earth is great and the human is also great. Within our realm there are four greatnesses and the One is one of them. The human beings follow the Earth. Earth follows Heaven, the heaven follows the Tao, the Tao follows the way of nature.

Lift is simple to me, but it is not real simple to every one when people expect more, One of my friend finish university student lift, and enter another different environment, when she is a student, she had no money, but she is happiness, right know, she gate a good job, she star to buy a lot of thing, she feel bitter in her lift, because she is upset in her cloth, house and car, she is not happy again. One time, I read an article from Warren Buffet, It enlighten my nature of mind. There was a one-hour interview on CNBC with Warren Buffet, the second richest man who has donated $31 billion to charity. Here are some very interesting aspects of his life: 1. He bought his first share at age 11 and he now regrets that he started too late! 2. He bought a small farm at age 14 with savings from delivering newspapers. 3. He still lives in the same small 3-bedroom house in mid-town Omaha that he bought after he got married 50 years ago. He says that he has everything he needs in that house. His house does not have a wall or a fence. 4. He drives his own car everywhere and does not have a driver or security people around him. 5. He never travels by private jet, although he owns the world's largest private jet company. 6. His company, Berkshire Hathaway, owns 63 companies. He writes only one letter each year to the CEOs of these companies, giving them goals for the year. He never holds meetings or calls them on a regular basis. He has given his CEO's only two rules. Rule number 1: do not lose any of your share holder's money. Rule number 2: Do not forget rule number 1. 7. He does not socialize with the high society crowd. His past time after he gets home is to make himself some pop corn and watch Television. 8. Bill Gates, the world's richest man met him for the first time only 5 years ago. Bill Gates did not think he had anything in common with Warren Buffet. So he had scheduled his meeting only for half hour. But when Gates met him, the meeting lasted for ten hours and Bill Gates became a devotee of Warren Buffet. 9. Warren Buffet does not carry a cell phone, nor has a computer on his desk. His advice to young people:” Stay away from credit cards and invest in yourself and Remember: A. Money doesn't create man but it is the man who created money. Believe your life as simple as you are. C. Don't do what others say, just listen them, but do what you feel good, D. Don't go on brand name; just wear those things in which u feel comfortable. E. Don't waste your money on unnecessary things; just spend on them who really in need rather. F. After all it's your life then why gives chance to others to rule our life. This is a very good key point in our lift concept, simple lift is very important to us, but we can’t real understand, I wish this article can be awake some on.

Tai Chi is a good exercise which, performed regularly, helps one keep fit, and through the exercise to reach cultivate one's moral character. Tai Chi is a smooth-going exercise, no mater the age and an asexuality, a peace of growing old and prolongs life. Its immense value to men's health has been testifying by practice and research. In Tai Chi the slow and gentle movements are embodied vigor and force. It’s technical, Physiological and mechanical qualities all have a philosophical basis. Master Yang Chengfu said, 'Tai Chi is an art with strength concealed in the gentle movements, like an "iron hand in the velvet glove" or a "needle concealed in cotton". In learning Tai Chi, one should practice according to the routines and follow the master's every movement carefully, and keep each action in mind. Mean wile, he should pay attention to nei, wai, shang and xia. Nei means using the mind rather that force. Wai means the relaxation of limbs, shoulders and elbows, making the movements from the foot and leg to the waist gentle and continuous. Shang means straightening the head, and xia means sinking the breath to the lower belly. For the beginner, the most important thing is to remember these points, grasp their essence and practice each with basic movement correctly over and over again, never seeking quick success and instant benefit. In practicing Tai Chi, it is necessary to keep all the joints of the body relaxed, so that the movements will be natural and unrestrained. Do not hold your breath (they may lead to puff and blow), and do not use stiff strength in moving the arms, legs, waist and body, but try to make your movements gentle and continuous. Indeed, there is nothing like proactive, and the learners of Tai Chi , men and women, young and old, will get the best possible results if they keep all the year round. Wushu and Tai Chi master Gu Liuxin said, 'I am over 70 and I must say I owe my good health to doing Tai Chi and "push-hands” exercises.' With slow and gentle movements done in circular paths, it is suitable for the aged and the weak. Tai Chi may be practiced individually and in groups. Tai Chi is a kind of martial arts and its functions of attack and defense must not be forgotten. So in practice, the movements are outwardly "soft", but inwardly vigorous.

The Koran[2.129] Our Lord! and raise up in them an Apostle from among them who shall recite to them Thy communications and teach them the Book and the wisdom, and purify them; surely Thou art the Mighty, the Wise. [2.213] (All) people are a single nation; so Allah raised prophets as bearers of good news and as warners, and He revealed with them the Book with truth, that it might judge between people in that in which they differed; and none but the very people who were given it differed about it after clear arguments had come to them, revolting among themselves; so Allah has guided by His will those who believe to the truth about which they differed and Allah guides whom He pleases to the right path. [2.253] We have made some of these apostles to excel the others among them are they to whom Allah spoke, and some of them He exalted by (many degrees of) rank; and We gave clear miracles to Isa son of Marium, and strengthened him with the holy spirit. And if Allah had pleased, those after them would not have fought one with another after clear arguments had come to them, but they disagreed; so there were some of them who believed and others who denied; and if Allah had pleased they would not have fought one with another, but Allah brings about what He intends.[2.115] And Allah's is the East and the West, therefore, whither you turn, thither is Allah's purpose; surely Allah is Amplegiving, Knowing. [2.142] The fools among the people will say: What has turned them from their qiblah which they had? Say: The East and the West belong only to Allah; He guides whom He likes to the right path.[2.143] And thus We have made you a medium nation that you may be the bearers of witness to the people and (that) the Apostle may be a bearer of witness to you; and We did not make that which you would have to be the qiblah but that We might distinguish him who follows the Apostle from him who turns back upon his heels, and this was surely hard except for those whom Allah has guided aright; and Allah was not going to make your faith to be fruitless; most surely Allah is Affectionate, Merciful to the people. [2.26] Surely Allah is not ashamed to set forth any parable-- (that of) a gnat or any thing above that; then as for those who believe, they know that it is the truth from their Lord, and as for those who disbelieve, they say: What is it that Allah means by this parable: He causes many to err by it and many He leads aright by it! but He does not cause to err by it (any) except the transgressors, [2.177] It is not righteousness that you turn your faces towards the East and the West, but righteousness is this that one should believe in Allah and the last day and the angels and the Book and the prophets, and give away wealth out of love for Him to the near of kin and the orphans and the needy and the wayfarer and the beggars and for (the emancipation of) the captives, and keep up prayer and pay the poor-rate; and the performers of their promise when they make a promise, and the patient in distress and affliction and in time of conflicts-- these are they who are {rue (to themselves) and these are they who guard (against evil).

AN INTRODUCTION TO TAO(1) - June 20, 2008 - 09:27 AM

In ancient Chinese characters Tao or Dao( 道 ) means “a path or a way”. The Tao is to understand the inner essence of the Truth and to be able to find the path that will lead us towards our enlightenment. Tao is the Absolute Truth. Tao existed before the creation of Heaven and Earth. It is the source of the universe and it will still exist even after the destruction of Heaven and Earth. It is everlasting. Lao-Zi said:“Great Tao has no form nor substance, yet it creates and cultivates Heaven and Earth. Great Tao has no favors, thus It governs the law and order of the cosmos. Great Tao has no name, but It gives life to and nourishes all beings. Because It is so mystical and powerful, there really is no proper word to represent and describe It. As Tao is the divine essence that permeates everything and everywhere in the universe, it also exists within human beings. Within us, Tao is the spiritual essence that gives us life and vitality, it also endows us with the innate ability to love unconditionally and to act with wisdom. This essence is generally known as the heart and soul. The Buddhist refers to it as Buddha nature while in the Confucian teaching it is known as the conscience. Although we possess this Buddha nature, it is seldom manifested in our character because of the many internal and external influences in our present life as well as in our past lives that have obscured the manifestation of this true nature in its pureness and brightness. It has been contaminated with unrighteous conduct such as selfishness, greed, resentment and ignorance. It has been so heavily obscured that sometimes we are unable to see our weaknesses and shortcomings. Even if we do recognize them, we lack the ability and strength to accept or change them and being constantly exposed to temptations and desires, we can find no peace within our true self.
