About Me
I have the feeling that there are a lot of people out there who care about the same things as me, and I think this may be a great place to find them! I would love the opportunity to explore deeper issues as well as to connect on a holistic level. I am also very interested in shareing with people who care about homeschooling in a "un-schooling" way.
I am interested in natural healing, gardening, intuition, all things mothering, and the beauty and wonderment of being ourself in a world which needs that unity to be unveiled so much.
I am the joyfully married partner of Ty Clement and the mother of five sons that keep me smiling and laughing through the stresses of life. I am also currently working on a pre-med degree with a major in Psychology and a minor in Human Biology. I am weaving my way through the choices of going to med school, naturopathic school, midwifery, or obtaining a Ph.D in Psych as my post grad education looms in the future.
I love gardening, my children, my husband, learning, exploring spirituality, questioning the known and unknown, home-birth and natural birth in general, natural and holistically oriented healing, sea turtles, tortoises, dolphins, all things soft and furry, flowers, pink and golden clouded sunsets, yoga, neurology, peach trees, raspberries, walking in the evening, swimming, snorkeling, the soft fuzzy heads of newborn babies, and organic mango's.
I used to teach childbirth classes and am still passionate about helping birthing and new mothers. I have a lot of heart felt info to share if it's asked for...I try not to overwhelm, but am pretty enthusiastic.
I am also looking to talk to others who have a loved one who struggles with mental illness or traumatic brain injuries. My eldest son had a bike accident last Fall which damaged his brain in the frontal and temporal lobes causing personality changes, mood swings, memory loss, slow processing speed, etc. etc. etc...it's been very hard in many ways. We have found this trauma to have been transformative in wonderfully positive ways due to his new ability to see life with quite a bit of eye opening understandings about himself, his family, and the world in general, allowing a softer, more loving person to appear. Even so, watching a young person struggle with the challenge of rebuilding neurons in the brain is enough to make even the most optimistic person cry sometimes.
On a joyous note, my husband, who has been working on a book for the past 7 years has found a wonderful publisher and we are so excited that he will have his book out in the Spring of 2007! It is called "Being Ourself". and at the risk of sounding biased...it's really a wonderful read/experience! It's one of those blessings that one can hope will inspire others to follow their dreams, talents, and life adventures no matter the challenges to overcome in the warm embrace of the wholeness of "Ourself"!
